Congratulations to you John. I usually finish 3rd but from the other end. I can’t remember the young man’s name either but know it when I see it written down. Even with gun trouble he was doing good.

The shooters were tough today. Hitting the small left target several times and hitting the mid size in the center like it was nothing. Good competition, great shooters and a fantastic bunch to hang out with.

It was another great shoot on the VESP Ranch. Lots of great shooters. I actually made it into the winner's bracket for the first time, promptly followed by a trip to the loser's bracket, then another relay win, promptly losing my chit and it was bye bye buzzy. 25 shots fired is a new record for me.

Thanks to the cold bore shot, I (Michael) was able to catch my 400-yard dope instead of 500. I guess I was thinking of the 400-yard clay shoots at Tac Pro. Dementia suks.

John (Angus56) shot super great with his almost dead stock Remington 700. Shows ya, you don't "have" to spend $4K for a full custom build.

The most impressive shooter of the day was the winner. I can't remember the young man's name but YOUTH prevails again. Must be nice when your age matches your waist size. I guess the most impressive thing to me. He was shooting a Ruger American action. Michael and the S&S team managed to screw one of their barrels on straight and with good coaching, the rifle/shooter combo kicked azz.

Pretty sure his name is Baker….(I find it easier to remember the names of those who kicked my azz!).

Yep, there it is. Baker is correct.

Looking forward to the next shoot, we won’t get another day like yesterday though. The weather and the shooters were about as good as it gets.

For an out of the box solution and a few upgrades these things shoot.
Still have about $2500.00 in each one.
