What do you use/recommend? Nothing too fancy or high dollar, just something that works.

Cheap, yet solid I like Burris

They have several under $300

It’s my go to for beaters or rimfires

I’ve heard a lot of good about the Arken scopes and saw one in action yesterday. It performed flawlessly for the shooter. No personal experience but it may be worth looking into.

Inexpensive means different things to different people. I put a Vortex something or other on my Marlin 783. It was on sale for $140-ish.

I had an extra Leupold Vari-X III that I put on my Tikka T1X. It was great, but with one problem. It couldn’t be focused for short range shooting (less than 20 yards or so). I recently bought an Athlon Neos 4-12 rimfire scope with BDC, and it focuses to 10 yards. So far, I like the new scope, and it wasn’t expensive. We’ll see how it does long term.

Been awhile since I went real budget on some glass but I used to be able to hit anything I wanted with a BSA on a 10/22. Was under 100$

I just spent the weekend getting a Vortex Diamondback HP with side focus, 2-8 x 32 set up on a .22mag. Worked out great. I wanted something good from 50-100 yards. With side focus, it would be good from 20+. I don't think they offer this any longer, so you may have to go to Ebay or some other site for used. It's great for my application, and maybe your's as well [Linked Image]

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I’ve got this one I’d let go pretty cheap. It’s got rings as well. It appears to be brand new. I took it off of a 9422 I bought here a few months back.

UTG Leapers is the my go-to manufacturer of more inexpensive scopes. However, I just looked and they have gone up in price significantly so I don't know if I'd consider it inexpensive.

Under $100 I would suggest looking at Konus scopes

Something bushnell from Walmart is as good as anything else in the same price range. But going cheap is do a vortex crossfire 4-12x40 AO. Or something else with an adjustable objective. Cheap being relative, and my version of expensive is $300-$400.

I have a Barska 3-9x40 on my 22mag Henry. No complaints. Dropped a skunk the other night at 75yds. Glass is clear as well.
