I would like to upgrade my redneck status by getting some serious yard art.
Curious if anyone on the forum is an expert in this area.
Thanks

I have a person I know with one. He says it is about 4.5-5" in diameter, but describes it as a 10#er. He makes small plastic coffee cans full of concrete to shoot up on the mountain behind his house! Impressive!!

I was going to say that the ones able to shoot concrete filled soda cans seem to be the easiest to feed. I’ve also read that a concrete filled soda can will go through both walls of a barn very easily. 😝

Not a smoke pole but shows what is possible when you scale an air gun up just a little....you get a cannon! Shoots a sabot load (think Remington shotgun wad made from split gatorade bottle loaded with paintballs) of 200 paintballs 250 yards and drops them in a 60-70' circle when shot with 65PSI in dump tanks. Or a Gatorade bottle of water a little over 300 yards at same pressure. The barrel angle is adjustable and is set to rain paintballs down on an area in this picture. It is quite effective up to 100 yards shooting gatorade bottles full of concrete with barrel closer to level but has a 8-10' arc. The safety pop off valves for the dual dump tanks are 100PSI and is fed by a SCUBA tank thru a regulator. It gets 25-30 shots off of a full 3000PSI SCUBA tank. I guess since it's breech loading, it's not really a muzzle loader though...

The recent videos of ISIS using their naval defense cannon in actual siege breaking were both hilarious and frightening.
I must have one.

I always wanted a Civil War mortar. They have competitions for them. The Confederate mortars are the coolest. They're brass, and they ring like a bell when you fire them.

I had one, wish I still did, you never know when you will need to repel boarders.

We had a guy building them from scale models to actual sized cannons outside of town. Spouse talked to him about trading some bois d'arc wood we had for a good deal on one and stupid me said we don't need a cannon. Not sure of he's still alive or not now.

Years ago we had a golf ball cannon. Piece of pipe with and breech plug that screw in. Drop a charge, add a golf ball with a cotton patch. Caught a pasture on fire with the cotton patch and grandpa decided we did not need it anymore. My uncle's friend actually built it in his machine shop.

We made tennis ball cannons and used lighter fluid to launch tennis balls at the MP’s patrolling Arlington National Cemetery…
Take four or five tennis ball cans. Cut the bottoms out of all but one. Tape them together in a long tube with the one with the bottom first. Punch a pen size hole in the side of the bottom can just above the base. Drop a tennis ball down the tube. Squirt some lighter fluid in the hole and touch a match to it. They sail a pretty long way….
We reinforced the base and tube with duct tape.

The owners of the wholesale drug company that I use owns a " plantation " south of Bossier City La. Three of the brothers have houses built around a private lake. We were invited to a crawfish boil a few years ago at one of the homes. Someone here may know the fellow I am talking about, he owns Sports South, a large wholesale firearms firm in Shreveport. Anyway , while everyone was chomping down on the crawfish , we here a giant boom from across the lake , Skipper says, don't worry , that is my brother shooting his cannon.

You can come shoot one for a price at the Central Wyoming Machinegun and Cannon Shoot in June, or just watch . They should have a cannon and several mortars and other artillery. Lots of full auto pistols and rifles to rent and shoot too, vintage and new.
