WBAP- sucks...
Yep.. he just says the same old thing, every day..
What's worse... is the morning show.. I used to like Hal Jay.
The morning show, isn't news, isn't informative, isn't hurmorus, isn't even interesting...
And traffic, on the "one's"... Really ! Nobody, and I mean nobody, needs a traffic report
between sips of coffee...
And Steve "Lambo" I mean really, "Lambo" are you still in the 5th grade ??
And who on earth names their kid "Stoobie"....
They can't even get through a complete thought, without stopping for a traffic report...

I agree. The Morning line up has really gone down hill.

I'm tired of RR too. The overnight stuff is usually pretty good.

If only there was a dial or button or something you could push that would allow you to listen to another station......

Only time it didn't suck is when they aired Paul Harvey, Good Day.........

Are there still am radio stations???? Used to love to listen to Hal Jay , his side kick( sorry can’t remember his name ), and the morning show, but that was 40 years ago. Have had to settle for local fm stations just to kind of keep up with what the evil left are trying to do to destroy our great country. Loved it when Paul Harvey was on there as well, grew up listening to him when I was knee high to a grass hopper, (50-55 years ago)….Sure do miss his news and”The rest of the story”.

My only complaint is Ernie Brown. Im sure he is a nice guy but dont like his show at all.

Hal is still there. I listen on my way to work in the mornings. I have a short drive so I don't get to listen to much.

I always loved the "Willie Landum" fishing report on Friday a.m. I remember listening to in the early 80`s, if I recall correct. Don`t know if they still do it or not.

Stoobie is a dork and his comedy sucks, listened my whole life but they are making it hard.

I am not a listener and only remember listening in 1998 when I just moved to Atlanta. The signal was able to get all the way to Atlanta and I could hear the Dallas Stars broadcasts on their Stanley Cup run. Other than this thread, I really had forgotten that WBAP even exists. I just looked up the latest DFW Nielsen Radio ratings and shockingly, WBAP is 13th in the market.

Lee Fraker the gardener is going to be mad at you.

Don't forget Bill Mack. Lot of truckers listened to his show.

I listen to them everyday. I enjoy the Morning show a lot. They kinda crack me up. I am ok with Rick Roberts, beats Sean Hanity which is on the local Tyler talk Station.

I cannot stand Sean Hannity's voice. Or his ego. He blew it with Sean Penn. All he had to do was conduct an interview like a real journalist. 'Quite the opportunity to have a liberal loon, but mega-star on Fox News. Hannity couldn't help himself. Penn is way more intelligent than Hannity, regardless of his politics. Hell, Hannity tries to interrupt Trump! You cain't get no bigger ego than that! What a tool.

I quit listening to them about 5 years ago.

It was February and there was a region-wide thunderstorm outbreak. By 6:00 a.m., it had been raining for hours and it wasn't letting up.

I had noticed for a while that they were skipping over the traffic updates "on the ones" from time to time.

But of all days, that day, people really needed the traffic updates.

They blew thru 6:31, 6:41, and 6:51 and the last one they were helping dumba$$ Hal Jay with his stupid Facebook security settings.

That's when it hit me; these guys had totally lost sight of their mission; to serve the listeners.

Now all they were doing was selling ad time and hooping it up on air with their buddies.

I've only listened to 1080 am since that day.
