We went to West at lunch for Czech food at the Czech-American Restaurant. In a way, it’s a bit like Mexican food, in that every now and then I need a dose of it. Had cabbage rolls, kraut (I can’t spell the whole word), and hot potato salad. I had an aunt that made what she called “hot German potato salad”, and I loved it. Todays potato salad was every bit as good as her’s. This was ‘stick to your ribs’ food, and really good.

 Love hot potato salad. Wife’s grandmother was full blood Czech, spoke the language and all. I still miss her cooking.

Was opened by my Aunt and Uncle on the square in West back in the 70's. Simply outstanding food and worth a road trip. My wife loves coconut meringue pie. I didn’t know they had that for dessert. I need to go back there for more of that hot potato salad and pie. I like that place.
As for my not taking pics of the food, I really am not a fan of doing that. Lord knows, my SIL will do all of that for me, and I think that’s what turned me off on it. So…no food pics…
