Is it similiar to another game bird, like pheasant, quail or dove?
Thanks.

I have tasted it and thought it was very plain. This could have been because I had never made it before but I was not impressed. I am looking forward to giving it another try since it was probably my fault.

Very close to pheasant, marinade with zesty italian dressing and seasonings of your choice, for an hour or so (in the fridge) before putting on the grill. I use a Green Egg to cook on and soem apple wood to smoke it...very good. have fun. Joe

personally I think it tastes a bit sweet.
I take them and cut them in half with kitchen shears and sprinkle with meat tenderizer and Tony sacheriz(dont know the spelling)
let them sit for a couple of hours and grill.
This method can be a bit dry for some so is you marinade grill them for a couple of minutes and wrap them in foil packs with some marinade dribbled over them; and keep on the grill until done

I love the taste of chukar. I like to either cook it on the grill with alittle Ital Dressing (as mentioned above) or cut it into strips, dredge in seasoned flour, deep fry, then dip in either sweet/ sour apricot or BBQ sauce.
