If you ever want to get an idea of how many people should not be driving a car, go to IH10 and West Avenue in San Antonio, during a rain. Many are paralyzed with fear. Who knows how many actually have a driver's license, never mind insurance. I grew up on West Avenue. It's not even the same country anymore.

You may want to quit complaining

What you have is MUCH WORSE than burning up and not being able to even grow pasture grass for cattle!

Yes sir
Pretty amazing that an inch of rain on one acre equals 27,154 gallons of water!
If you got 5.25" on 40 acres it is actually over 5.7m gallons

My office is on the north end of town just off IH35 and we've had 1.4" so far here.

I am praying I get home and got at least an inch in the gauge. Man we are dry there

I got a trace of rain in my gauge in Mason. So sad; such a missed opportunity! Everyone was so excited at the prospect of a drought-buster.

Today the wind sucked the moisture out of the ground that got from our showers.

Like the last few storms, it is likely to skirt right by us. It rained across the road last night.

1.1 yesterday and I'm more than just a little thankful for it.

Wife said it was coming down hard this morning at 6:30 when she was trying to leave so hoping we got another 1/4" or better.

Posted earlier that neighbor said I got 4 inches of rain South of Bowie. 3 neighbors, one about 1/8 mile from me got 4.5. However, I went there, loaded with anticipation and found that I got 2 inches. DAMN, I need a frog strangling rain . All of my ponds/tanks are either 4 to 5 ft down or dry.

But, gotta admit, that it’s been a long time since I got a 2 inch rain. It will help.
