We haven’t had many bookings for axis hunts. Was wondering if our prices are too high. Would like some input. We were asking $3000 for bucks 28-32 inches and $3500 for bucks 33 and above inches. Doe were listed at $475. We were charging for lodging & meals. Fee was listed at $200 per hunter per night with a 2 day minimum. I did drop that to $150. The lodging is very nice and comfortable. Should we just offer a day hunt without lodging & meals? Had probably over 200 inquiries but few bookings. Would we have better success offering hunts for bucks at $2500 and up? Axis doe for $400? Just thinking with prices for fuel, etc going up this is why people are hesitant to book hunts. What y’all think. We have some very nice animals and the rut will be kicking off mid June thru July. By the way, there isn’t a kill fee if an animal is not mortally wounded.

Personally, I hate sliding scales on pricing....it's a huge turn off for me. I think it would be better to estimate how many bucks of each size you have....and then just charge the average for all of them, regardless of size.
On a separate note, I think this year is just going to be challenging for all outfitters due to the massive inflation we are all experiencing right now. Many folks probably don't have as much disposable income as they did in recent years. Combine this with the high costs of feed and stocker animals (which ranches obviously have to factor into their pricing) and it's just a tough spot for everyone.

I’m listing axis hunt specials based on input from several members regarding pricing. We are prepared to offer axis buck hunts for $2500. This will apply to any axis you wish to take. Axis doe can be added as a second animal for $300 as a package deal. If you only prefer to take a doe, price will be $450. A ranch usage fee of $ 50 per hunter will be assessed on day hunts. If you wish to utilize our lodging , fee will be $100 per night per person. Bring your own meals. No kill fee unless you morally wound an animal.

Book a hunt and view pics of your trophy. We have some really good bucks right now and dates are available in the month of July. That’s when our rut really kicks off. The bucks are tipped out and roaring.

I think it’d be funny to see a morally wounded animal. He’d be the one who doesn’t say much and keeps to himself a lot. Lol Where’s the ranch at?

You know that auto correct will get us in trouble. I could edit to say mortally, but I’m sure it isn’t necessary. The ranch is located near Mountain Home, Texas.
