I have a place in Turkey Tx and am wondering if there are any suitable options for a spring/summer food plot planting to attract mule deer up and out of the canyon. Will anything grow in the summer heat without assistance?

Thanks I’m a rookie at this. Any soil prep needed or is there a throw and grow option?
