For defense - Glock 21 .45
For Hunting - Ruger Old Model Blackhawk. I have them in every calibre Ruger made them in. My "packing" gun is either a 4-5/8th .357 1958 Blackhawk Flattop or a same length .41 Mag.

Favorite??? I guess I would give the nod to my Kimber CDP, with the Springfield XDm 9mm coming in a close second (only because the Kimber is prettier ). I have a Taurus 85 ultralite in .38 Special that I love to carry due to it being small and light, but shooting it is not very much fun. I shot a Desert Eagle chambered in .44 mag at my local range a few months ago and would get one of those if I had the scratch. It was easy to shoot but a handful to hold. Felt like holding a brick with a 2x4 for a handle.

Browning Hi Power MK III with a C&S sear/hammer combo, no magazine safety, and a good trigger job. A CZ 75 is a close second.

My favorite is now the Judge.
I got it for shooting rats when bush hoggin.
