Some of the hunts have been drawn already. All the archery hunts and the antelope hunts. If you applied and want the results now.

You can call toll free, 800-792-1112.
Then press 5, then 7, then 1 and then you will be asked to enter your SS#. Then press 1, then 3.

I was drawn for NOTHING so far. bang

East Texas and Matador have a little in common...hogs hogs hogs!! I hunt in Matador and it's all or nothing. I have bee. There and seen tons of deer and then go and don't see Jack. Bring your walking shoes!!

In case you want to call after hours, call 512-389-8221 and it will also give you the results of the drawings.

Yep, wait for the notification to come in the mail. You will get a card saying that you were not drawn or a letter saying you were. But by calling and getting that info in advance it really helps to know so you can set up vacation time further in advance if need be.

I'm 0-for-4 so far. Still have quite a few waiting to be drawn so I am still hopeful.

Since you are the only one of us that has had any luck, what did you get drawn for?

I got drawn for a deer hunt at Fort Boggy last year and had a great time. I saw lots of deer, but didn't shoot anything. It was an either sex hunt, but I wanted either a large doe or a buck (it is an AR county). I saw probably twenty deer over three days but they were all little bitty bucks, yearlings and smaller does.

Ok. I'm a little confuse. I just got my draw hunts package in the mail about 2 weeks ago. Is that for this year or next? I bought raffles for 4 hunts. Thanks.

We may be talking about two different things. What we are talking about on this thread are the TPWD public hunts. There are tons of categories and for the most part they are $3 each. The hunts take place on public land all over Texas. The raffle is for the Big Time Texas hunts, of which I think there are five of them. They cost $9-10 I believe. The tickets would be for this year.

Thanks bud! I was confused. I was talking about the Big Time Hunts. Ok. Got it now. Any idea when the winners will be notified? (Not that I am EVER lucky enough to be drawn in any raffle)

With the regular hunts, the drawing occurs within a week after the deadline. I would assume it would be the same for the Big Time hunts.

That sucks. Guess the lucky people don't post on this board because this thread is about a collective 0-30.

Well if its any consolation I was 1 for 3. However my "1" was Matador which is normally about a 50-50 deal to get drawn. But I'll take it.

The application deadline for GDE, GDA, GDM & MDG and the Youth in those categories are Sept. 3rd, that's not the drawing date since we will still receive applications for those categories and have to be entered.

The drawing on those will be anywhere from a week or more for them to be done.

Good Luck to yall!!

I got my notice letter today for Private Lands at East McCulloch County Ranch. Entered alone this year, with 4 Preference Points, for the 1st PLA Hunt. Got tired this year of recruiting Lottery rookies with no PP's and having mine averaged in ...and wasting $'s & time in Entrys since I ain't got all that many more years to hunt at 65 in a couple weeks. After being skunked last several years I am due for a run again and hit on more than one App like I did 4 years ago with 3 Hits out of 10 Entries.

Since all the other Gun Hunt drawings have not been held yet I'm still holding my breath on some of those...OBTW I got 11 PP's in GTS & 12 PP's in EXO and I'd bet I still cannot get drawn where I want to go. I have flat given up on ever getting Drawn for the South Llano River SP freezer filler GDA Hunt.

Anybody know anything about the Brady/McCulloch County area on where to stay or eat. It has been 20+ years since I've been down there.
