Ive never really liked bullpups but Ive gotten to the point where Im bored with ARs, AKs, and PCCs. Ive scratched those itches. So started looking at bullpups just for fun and kinda getting down to the IWI Tavor X95 or the Springfield Hellion. The Tavor has been out a little while whereas the Hellion is still fairly new. Ive watched Youtube videos on both but wanted to hear real-world feedback. I have no real use for the gun, it’ll just be a toy. Really wish either of these was in a 7.62x39.

Of those, I would go X95. The safety and location of the magazine drop mirrors the AR. The trigger is supposed to be really good for a bull pup. It seems to work well with suppressors. I don’t like how high the sights are on the Hellion. X95 has seen a lot of combat so it’s proven.

I’ve got a Tavor and really like it. Added the mepro m21 red dot and an IWI foregrip. They are heavy but compact and feel natural when shouldered.

Thats true. Although I read that the Israelis are moving away from them which is weird.

You didnt happen to be driving on 121 near Carrollton driving a little Kia this afternoon? Weirdest thing. Pulled up behind this little Kia and had a big IWI sticker on the back window. I notice gun stickers all the time and typically see them on trucks or big SUVs. Dont think Ive ever seen an IWI sticker until today and it was on a tiny little Kia crossover or hatchback. Its like it was a sign that I need to buy one grin

Yeah if I had Kia mpg Id already have the $ for the Tavor.

Thats really nice. I hadnt considered the OD Green but yours may change my mind. Also wasnt aware the grip panels could be swapped which is nice.

Have you considered the Steyr Aug also? I have yet to shoot the Helion but I had a Tavor and Aug. I kept the Aug, way better shooter in my opinion.

The AUG definitely crossed my mind but the platform seems so antiquated. It was cutting edge when it was introduced. Id end up having to put $ into it for Mags or a new stock to run AR mags and something like an aftermarket forend to avoid a forced vertical grip which I hate vertical grips.
