This weekend is the Lasalle County Wild Hog Cook-off. This day is the judging and this night they have Stoney Larue and then Diamond Rio. I have hornswoggled Wifeypoo into heading down to the lease this day. We'll do some more "kutching up" at the new cabin, replace some batteries in some cameras; shoot her new Keltec PMR 30 and look over the place this night prior to a good supper and a nice sleep.
Tomorrow we will head to the Cowboy Gospel Church service, some event with hogs and then the ranch rodeo. Me thinkying this is going to be a blast.

Ranch rodeo did top a neat couple of days. The wind and the red dust didn’t put a hurt in it. The wild hog scramble was indeed entertaining, but the wild hog roping was the topper. We haven't been now in a few years though. Used to go watch my buddy and his twin brother compete in the ranch rodeo. They still have to rope the wildazz cow and milk her? lmao My buddies won it several times. Those dudes are pretty ballsie!
