Pre grated cheese. That is fine with be but some complained.

It is Not Normas cafe on Park Lane. Had lunch there today and the CFS was just okay not very large the excess batter makes it look bigger.
Mashed potato's and Turnip Greens were just okay good, the Pinto Beans sucked they tasted like more like ranch style beans than Pinto Beans.

I went to the Normas on the N Dallas tollway quite a while back and had their meatloaf and it was no Bueno, have eaten breakfast at the Oak Cliff location twice and it was good.

So for now no more Normas!

WOW. Only 2 post and you are already so wrong. Neither is Mary`s in Strawn. I started making my own because neither of those places consistently had a tender CF Steak. Jakes has too much gristle and Mary`s is often undercooked. The best thing about both of their CF Steaks are the French fries. I`ll give them that.

I had a very good CFS at The Highlander in Wichita Falls last week. I would rate it in the outstanding category, something Norma's ain't.

that's a shame. on a side note, Fred's cafe has moved to the west side and taken over the buffalo west building. They should be open next month. Their CFS is legit.

Because it’s close to the hunting spot I’ve had 4 Mary’s CFS in the last two months, my Opinion has gone from over rated to sucks. Service sucks also and it’s $20

Hermann sons in Hondo is good. But I have heard the YO Hotel in Kerrville has a good one. Have not tried it yet so we shall see if it passes the test.

As others have said - Dinner Bell in Graham us as good as it gets, the chicken fried chicken too. I had a nice CFS and Eggs from J’s Breakfast and Burgers this morning in Addison. Not a show stopper but after a 6am flight back into Dallas it hit the spot. They still allow smoking inside but it seems like their regular clients appreciate it.

Had a craving for Chicken Fried Steak and eggs for breakfast, so Sunday the wife and I went to Norma's Cafe on N Dallas tollway. the CFS was $11.99 added an extra egg for $1.00 so $12.99.
Good size portion of meat, it was to salty, thin and kind of chewy, wife had a Ham & Cheese Omellete there was very little cheese or ham in it. No more Normas for us






Since that did not really satisfy my craving, yesterday I went solo to the Coffee House Cafe, much better a bit more expensive $17.99 with two eggs.
Had an awkward moment, asked the waitress for Tabasco, the gals brings me a big bottle, take the cap of and oh Chit there is not one of those plastic deals at the end of the bottle to regulate the flow got a napkin and dabbed some of it off.

The CFS was pretty darn good, thick tender portion of meat, guessing pounded out Ribeye? No more $17.99, + $4.50 for OJ & tax + tip No Mas; for that kind of $$ I am going to make my own

CFS and eggs is underrated.
