this may be the fastest running kill shot in hog history. chased this guy down in cotton stalks and buddy jumped out and started in on him. by the time i got it in park, grabbed the gun, opened the door and jumped out, he was in high gear. if 125 tnts do this well, i may not even need to pull the trigger when i switch to cont chaos!

Hey Gang,

Went with Vortex Razor Gen III 1-10x24 with Scalarworks Leap/09 mount.
Thanks for help & suggestions.

Are there any ballistic charts with bullet drop (11.3” barrel) using 110gr SP, & 135gr FTX ammo? If you can direct to page # or link - greatly appreciated.

Stay Healthy.

Finally have an opportunity to add furniture to my new WC HAM’Rs. Would appreciate recommendations for optics. Looking for Red Dot/LPVO - CQB that can also be used for hog hunting, NV, but not taking up a lot of real estate. Don’t know if such an animal exists. Especially in 3K or less range. Thanks in advance.
Happy New Year

For my Troy “Other” (Brace) 11.3 bbl with pinned Q-Comp, 10.4 rail, Sniper Veil Camo FDE paint.
For Rebel Arms AR 16.25 bbl 1-15 twist, Q-Comp pinned, Gray Camo.
Was originally going to go lightweight but wanted forward assist (you have to go forged) so went forged on both.
Also ordered rail covers and bulk 110 & 135 FTX Ammo.

Thanks again Bryan, Bill, & Members here for all help, guidance, & suggestions. Shout out to Alan at WC for sales assistance.

I am not aware of bullet drop table but there is velocity table which you can use to calculate the drop: https://texashuntingforum.com/forum...91/re-wilson-combat-300-hamr#Post7773991
You can play with ballistic data at: http://gundata.org/ballistic-calculator/ and https://bisonballistics.com/calculators/ballistics

I very rarely pay for an Android app but I can highly recommend Strelok Pro. Not only does it do the normal ballistic stuff but it has almost every reticle made and will show you the sight picture for whatever range you're shooting with the existing conditions of temp, wind, etc. After playing with it I decided to sight my 300 Ham'r in for 150yds which also just happens to be dead on at 50yds and anything between 30 and 170yds will be within an inch of point of aim. Wish I had something like that back when I was a kid and hunting with a 30-30! elmer

Bill, I'm considering ordering a 20" rifle gas lightweight profile 300 ham'r barrel from McGowen. I plan on initially using carry handle iron sights and a fsb with an A2 buttstock and plastic handguards - a sort of stealth musket lol. Any advice as to which gas port dia and rifling twist I should go with for the 125-150 gr bullets? Any inputs greatly appreciated. Mechanicus.

Any idea when you might be getting some of the 130gr HAM'R Hot-Cor or 135gr HAM'R Bonded projectiles in stock? As far as I can tell you are the only place to buy them and I want to load some up for a hunt in April.

I'd go with 1-13 twist, intermediate gas and a .106 port, if you stick with mid-gas use a .103 port

We have plenty of bulk 130gr HHC in stock if you don't mind them being shipped in a plastic bag? Speer just hasn't been shipping any bonded bullets in a long time, so we have none in stock other than in loaded ammo. We could spare a few boxes of Hornady 135gr FTX though. We also FINALLY have a good inventory of Speer 150gr BTSP, also in bulk.

When will the 150gr Speers be available for sale on the website?

I'd go with Battlehawk Armory if you want some 2022's. They're around and have been for a few weeks now. I want to try the 2034's (165gr) variety loaded out to 2.400" smile

I don't remember where I bought the last couple boxes of the Speer 2022 but I do remember I passed on Battlehawk because of the shipping cost. I was hoping to find a deal on buying them in bulk. I will say their shipping is prompt...the last order I did at around 10am and it was sitting on my porch at 2pm the next day.

FWIW, I've ordered from battlehawk twice. I got a scope that came quickly and without issue. And some 125grn tnt's that took over 2 weeks to ship.

Your site says both are out of stock which is why I asked. Bags aren't a problem, I would be putting them in my own storage solution anyway. Ill put in an order for a case of 500 if you can spare some 130 HHCs.

Send me a PM with all your contact info and we'll take care of you. These won't show up on the web site since "technically" we're not supposed to sell bulk product to customers. I'm just trying to help forum members out while components are so hard to find.

your challenge rebuttal is going to be a tough call. i made another attempt that rivals your vid, but i don't have the dead hogs to show for it. actually, i don't think i hit the other two. i'm blaming it on being out of practice. i don't get to shoot very much.

btw... heck of a generous offer on the bullets bill. now if you could just steer some hogs my way... cool
