Tried a new to us restaurant in Bishop Arts, Written by the Seasons. The menu changes every season.

We started with the Yellow Tuna Crudo and Chili Charred Red Cabbage.

Tuna was excellent, flavored really stood out and popped but complimented each other nicely.




The charred cabbage was interesting. Again, flavors were great, we had no idea what to expect when we ordered it.




For main course I had the Atlantic Cod over a bed of fingerling potatoes and what I can only assume was some kind of squash. Whatever it was I want more! The cod was seared perfectly and the flavors were excellent.

Wife ordered the steak, this is where I screwed up because I don’t order steaks from any place that isn’t a “steakhouse”, her steak was cooked right, nicely charred for being medium rare, and they had the best chimichurri on top I’ve ever had.

Their Old Fashioned was on point, nothing fancy, just a good solid drink.

Went across the street to some unknown name bar. No idea what I ordered, but it said it was a refreshed Old Fashioned, that thing was potent. It came in a fancy glass as you can see
