Has anyone ever seen any NOSLER 7MM 120 GR BALLASTIC TIPS with blue tips? All the 7mm bullets from Nosler I have seen have had red tips. I purchased these from a THF member a while back, they look exactly like the 120 gr red tips but just have the blue tips. Thanks Daniel

Are you positive those aren’t .257 caliber bullets?

I’m sure the are exactly the same. I missed that run but I believe they came from Shooters Pro Shop as a special run.

Are you positive those aren’t .257 caliber bullets? They measure .2845 in diameter plus they shoot great in my wife's 7x57. I did call Nosler and that is almost the exact same question he asked.

Those were a special run by Nosler several years ago. I still have about 200 of those blue tipped 120's. Saame bullet, different color tip is only difference.

I'll take em off your hands real cheap, can't have you shooting blue tips when you need red tips!

Speaking of tipped bullets, polymer tips have become all the rage with Remington now offering a tipped version of their longstanding CorLokt ammo. Hornady even touts the tips on their ELD-X ammo is made of special polymer that won't deform as easily due to heat. Others claim polymer tipped bullets work best on bullets with a high ballistic coefficient or BC. Of course lay folks like me just say they're more "pointy" than other bullets. Remington also claims their new tipped CorLokt ammo achieves greater velocities. I guess you've got tell potential buyers there's a good reason to pay more for the latest and greatest.

Sounds like those were blem 7mm bullets with the .257 diameter tips.
Remington had tipped bullets long before Nosler, Hornady or Swift with their bronze point bullets.

I purchased some .284 150 gr BT’s from SPS a couple year’s ago that had silver tips.

That is great, I won't have to work up a new load for the red tipped ones I just bought. Thanks Daniel
