Yep they can see better than people think they can. And can smell better than a deer in my opinion.

And, Italian hunters tipple a bit.

We saw one group headed out in Tuscany years ago. I would not want to accompany them.

I had a medium sized hog come at me, after I shot him in the face at rather close range. He was way faster than I would’ve guessed, and he’d have been on me if he hadn’t diverted into the woods. No doubt he’d have had me. So quick.

Grandpa told me that he had to climb on a cypress stump once to avoid a hog. Down in a Louisiana swamp. Must’ve been in the 1920’s or 30’s.

Yeah, I was out retrieving a game camera and there happened to be a sleeping boar a few yards behind it. Never saw him till he stood up and started chomping at me. He charged and I ran up the tree like a monkey. Honestly thought I was going to die.
