I’m new to duck hunting, and I’m about to finally be back in Texas. I live in the Panhandle and I’m looking for places to duck hunt. I’m willing to travel, but I would prefer to stay local. What do y’all know?

You won't have any problems finding birds in the panhandle. Now land to hunt on will be tougher as the outfitters have alot of it leased up.

The ducks are here. Bet I saw 1000-1500 today on my drive to Padre Island National Seashore. Huge rafts of them everywhere on the bay.

I can tell you they weren't in between Brookshire and Cypress Saturday morning.

You won't have any problems finding birds in the panhandle. Now land to hunt on will be tougher as the outfitters have alot of it leased up. This. The heart of the central flyway is centered near Amarillo, you just need to secure places to hunt. And don't forget New Mexico....things are happening there these days with the flyway way out there now.
