This all started 7 months ago.
We decided we want a patio cover.
Found a guy to do the work with myself and a helper (I stay on the ground, I'm too old to fall off things).
Went downtown to Fort Worth city hall to buy a permit so as to stay straight with the city, HOA and insurance company.
We submitted plans in person and the front desk guy scanned them in.
We got one reply with additional requirements on plans, delayed a month by a typo on my email address.
Did the additional drawings and went back in person and the front desk people would not accept hard copies.
I was told that it all had to be uploaded to the FW website.
Problem is the website required to upload drawings, etc., is like navigating the Great Dismal Swamp.
The IT girl couldn't get the website to work. Really.
I commented that their software sucked big time. IT girl and front desk dou laughed and nodded their heads.
Citizens ahead of me and following me began their encounter with similar commentary.
So four of the seven months has been dedicated to waiting for replies to phone calls and emails. Anyone remember "Waiting for Godot"?
