Skip the BC and get a Mcmillan or AG That Mcmillan is twice the price of the B&C. I'm not convinced that it will take me from a 1/2" group to a 1/4" group, or if I need it. Once I find something that works, it's hard to go away from it. I have decided to stay away from the heavy barrel Super Varmint, may get one of the T3'such as the Roughtek, they come threaded with a brake. Taking a T3 and putting it in a B&C stock and going to bottom metal won't get me threaded with a brake, and I'm thinking the 7mm Rem. Mag would need it. This rifle is going to maybe have 6-7 rounds per year through it, once I get it set up. The B&C is a very solid upgrade from the factory stock. I spent weeks looking at every stock available for my lefty T3. There's absolutely nothing better for the price and immediate shipping. I love McMillan but they were $400 more with a delivery date of ain't-no-telling-when. My little cheap-o rifle has already killed a bunch of chit in the meantime. In fact, it dropped a nice sambar in Port O'Connor yesterday. Did you draw a hunt on the Powderhorn WMA? My buddy's son won the draw. I let him use my rifle and he dropped the hammer on a nice one. I'd love to hunt down there sometime.

So I shopped today, people saying Scheels is expensive ain't always right. Rifle cant be found anywhere, close to $1100.00 on line, and long wait. I bought this identical scope I think five years ago. Scheel's had both on the shelf. Walked up and couldn't believe it was in the caliber I wanted. The scope was $899.00, they have more. EGW aluminum pic rail is available for Tikka. I ordered one yesterday. Did it have the boss that mated up with the hole in the receiver?

Tikka put that hole for a recoil lug there for a reason.

Because sometimes you can't find a pic rail with that stud in it, in stock. I'm just telling you that it's fine if it doesn't have it.
I imagine you have the ability to wait if needed. Often, I do not.

I imagine you have the ability to wait if needed. Often, I do not. I didn't wait, I bought the rifle and ordered the rail within a few minutes of getting home with it. It was easy to find, Scheels just didn't have it in stock. I'd cancel the EGW, or put it on a Gen 1 and order the Gen 2 rail from Midway.

I'd go straight to the rail with a Sportsmatch ring, and it has the recoil lug. They are bulletproof.
