Well if the only thing to be excited about is current success you put out a lot of hot air too.

Again, we aren’t afraid of the portal. There is a huge financial incentive for our recruits to stay. We didn’t write the rules, but we damn sure are using them to our benefit. Before the NIL yes, we bled out through the portal. Now, they’ll be shooting themselves in the pocketbook. https://brobible.com/sports/article/texas-am-recruiting-class-nil-money/

Yeah that freshman QB from Ohio state transferred even after NIL deals for more than a million. It will happen.

And he probably took the money with him. Ours can’t, it’ll take a higher bid. Guess who’ll have deeper pockets?

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Maybe you should read before commenting? “According to SlicedBread, the Aggies even have a backstop in place. The deals are structured to keep players in College Station for multiple years. Contracts are set up as multi-year deals. If a player leaves, he leaves the money behind in Texas“

See, i knew you could figure it out. And nice try, but I also know you know how important those 5 stars are. And 17 and 5 (over the past 2 years) with a victory over bama is more relevant than 95% of teams in college football.
We aren’t guaranteed a playoff birth, but we just bought the genetics that put us in a much better position than most. It’ll take a couple of years to reach the “when one 5 star foes down we just plug another one in” level, but our guys are getting closer every day. 6 now, and possibly 7 or 8 by Feb 2.
Again, we won the most important game this year. The recruiting game
OK, so you've spouted off about winning the recruiting game several times already, and made numerous other statements that the Ags are "back" whatever that means since the Ags have never been "there" at all in the last 50 years. I'll bet you right now, $500 that the Aggies do not win the national championship next year. Put your money where your mouth is.

In fact, if you have any comprehension skills whatsoever you know I never even alluded to a natty next year. Exact opposite. So mouth, ill say we improve on our record from last year, and you name the amount.

Yes, the national championship is the most important game of the year. The next most important is the recruiting game. Thanks for pointing that out.

While rancher is making it easy to pick at the Aggies.
Let’s slow down and reverse the reality.
2020 season Texas goes one loss and gets left out of the playoffs. Imagine ESPN imagine the fans. Just the constant beating that would be. Imagine what many here would have acted like coming into the season.
Then let’s imagine that Texas had what is being called the best recruiting class in history. Not Aggie history. But of any school.
Many here would act just like rancher. Some would say rightfully so. That’s what makes college sports and discussion so much fun.

True, I am not sure if the world could have taken a one loss UT getting shut out of the playoffs (because they have one really loud and annoying fan base as well), but that isn't exactly what happened here.
aTm went 8-4, 4-4 in conference and beat up on a couple lesser division schools to get that record.
Now they are acting like they have won all kinds of conference titles, some natties, and have been in the playoffs for a while and just had a down year....
This is the classic aggie fan. Delusional as far as the horizon. they have yet to compete for an SEC title since going there, they last won a conference (BIG 12) title over 2 decades ago, and they haven't sniffed a natty nor played in a meaningful bowl in a long long time. And this recruiting class is gonna change all that? Delusional until the sun don't shine is what I think.

No kidding, I would laugh at a Texas fan saying the same things about winning recruiting and other stuff that doesn’t really matter.
