Well, picked up my Super Combo yesterday. Can't wait to use it this year. I have a dove hunt planned for opening weekend. Had a few questions.
1) Is a modified choke the best to use for opening weekend? We will be the first ones to hunt this particular area. (12-gauge)
2) What do ya'll where in the field? Shorts/short sleeves or pants/ long sleeves?
3) How far out and how many mojo doves would you recommend?
Thanks!

1) Improved, take your mod just incase but you prolly wont neeed it
2) I would wear some boots. You can wear with shorts but your friends might give you a hard time. Short sleevs are fine. Watch out if you are hunting in Weatherford, have seen lots of snakes
3) with in shooting range. As many as you can afford

1. Cylinder, Skeet or IC (I like Cylinder on opening weekend)
2. Lightweight camo pants & shirt (I wear brush country camo)
3. Two mojos set-up within shooting range set at different heights with some hard plastic decoys on the ground and in the trees and/or on the fence.

I use two mojos, but I don't think that's really necessary. I put them perpendicular to each other 20 yards out directly in front of me. My theory is that no matter what angle they come in from they'll see at least one of the mojos flappin' away.

1. Mod 2. Usually camo shorts and shirt with boots, shoes or even flip flops. ![shocked shocked](/forum/images/graemlins/default/shocked.gif) Sometimes I may wear camo pants. All depends on where I'm hunting. 3. Used to only put some still decoys on a fence/tree. Last season started using a mojo and will never turn back.

I was a devoted modified choke user for many years, till I was enlightened as to how well IC works for the majority of shots. I now shoot an O/U, and always run it Mod over IC, with the IC up first. Try it, you might be surprised.

I shot IC all season last year and into the duck season. I had 5 limits of Dove in 5 trips.
Short sleeves and jeans, though I'm considering shorts this year.
I use 1 mojo dove about 15-20 yards in front of me, usually down-wind.
