I have not advertised any Mouflons this year. A while back txhornhunter contacted me and asked about getting a Mouflon. I thought about it a bit and after one not so good experience I told him OK. But I was not going to guide. You would be on your own. There would be no driving around looking for them. It would be all on foot. I want $1500 for the Mouflon. You will give me $250 for the day you hunt. If you get one you owe me $1250. If you want to hunt the second day you give me another $250. If you get one you owe me $1000. If you don't I keep the $500. He said that sounds good. He got a good Mouflon that measured 32 inches and was broomed off the first day. Surprised the heck out of me. txhornhunter is in my book a hell of a hunter.
I have 3 left. I got a picture of 2 of them this afternoon. Is anyone up to the challenge? Same deal. You have 2 days. No more than that. All hunting is done on foot. There will be no driving. $250 the first day. If you get one you owe me $1250. $250 the second day. If you get one you owe me $1000. If you don't I keep the $500. You give me the $250 in cash each day.
This sounds like a good marketing strategy. If you’re a real hunter you should be able to walk around the place and kill one of these elusive sheep. I’ll charge you$250 per day, but only for two days. I won’t take another $250 if you want to hunt another day. Driving around is not challenging enough on this place. If you don’t succeed Txhornhunter is a much better hunter than you. Luckily I got pictures of both of the sheep for sale this afternoon. How big is this hunting Mecca?

Around 300 acres. The reason I don't want driving is because I don't want them disturbing my other animals, not because it would be easier. The reason only 2 days is because I have things to do out there also. And no I don't compare anyones hunting ability to anyone elses. And the reason I won't guide a person is because I have other stuff to do and getting a person one of the Mouflon me guiding would not be a walk in the park.
At the end of this month I am closing it down until next year. I took these pictures this afternoon. They are probably not going to get any larger next year except the one that is not bloomed. The others will continue brooming off. If you want to hunt don't delay. You are not going to find Mouflon like this for $1500 anywhere else.
Don K- Maybe stupid question, but what does “brooming” on a sheep mean?
On male sheep when the horns get on about the same plane as their mouths when they are eating the horns are rubbing on the ground. This wears the horn off usually at the same length. The mass of the horn will increase but usually not the length. Anyway this is what I have observed and been told.
