I've had a deep, dry cough, runny nose and itchy eyes for a few days. Wife has an off and on fever that hit 102 this morning with chills and very tired. Tylenol keeps knocking it back but we're going to the walk-in clinic tomorrow morning. Both still have taste and smell. Heard there was something going around besides Covid.

Sounds like a cold.
But ask a physician.

Cedar is starting to get me. Or one of the other 100 things in south Texas air that can wear me out.

Sounds close to what I’ve got, no fever but runny nose, sneezing, constant cough. Started on Monday. Finally started using nasal spray and Nyquill. Wife has lots of sneezing. Probably cedar allergy for us.

Runny nose and sneezing here. Nose is sore from wiping it so much.

I live in the cedar trees NW of Waco. Definitely cedar season is here. Started 3-4 days ago. Looked like smoke outside of my house this morning from all of the cedar pollen. Truck is covered in pollen. Zyrtec is a must this time of the year.

If you have a 102 fever from allergies, that would make me think you have an upper repertory infection. I'm not one of the resident THF virology scientists though, so I would go to a real doctor.

Our kids school had 350 kids out the week before Christmas break for flu “a”. It ended up getting us too. We had the exact symptoms you’re describing. It only lasted 24-48 hours. I hope you start feeling better soon.

You can treat a cold and it will last two weeks. Do nothing and it takes 14 days.

Glad you're better. Did you take anything for it?

#1 & #2 son just took kids versions of cold/flu meds, vitamin c by the truckload and lots of sleep. Both were better in 24-30 hours. Wife and I took the “flu” version of NyQuil/DayQuil, vitamin c and zinc. We were 90% in 36 hours. If you feel like you need to sleep, sleep. That seemed to be the key for us. We both slept 12 hours on the night we were sick and it made all the difference.

Lot of doctors testing for Covid first, which is understandable. But ending it there.

Friends daughter went to doctor, they gave her a Covid test that was negative and sent her away. She went to ER and was in there for 3 days for a kidney infection.

Doctors are also losing focus.

We all had the same plus really sore throat. Took a week to get feeling better.

30+ hours and 1,000+ miles on our Christmas pilgrimage to Tennessee and back took its toll on me this year. The 2.5 year old and 6-month old Petri dishes and shared the oxygen in my truck blessed both me and the bride with nasty coughs that started the night before Christmas. It feels like I have barbed wire in my throat now (thanks, Boys...Merry Christmas rofl). I probably should have slept in this morning rather than coming into the office (especially since I am just on THF anyway today).

Wife boiled some herbs and stuff from her garden and sat in the kitchen floor with her head over it and covered in a sheet twice yesterday. I gave her Tylenol, vit C, Zinc and then Nyquil last night. Woke up feeling much better, fever down to 98. She did the herb thing again and took a long hot shower. Fever down to 97 and change. Probably about 80% now. I swigged some Nyquil, vit C, zinc and went to bed. Woke up much better but still a little cough if I breath deep. I felt good enough to vacuum leaves in the front yard after my last full day of work...forever. Maybe the heavy-duty antibiotics I've been on for almost the last year helped me...IDK.
