Young ruffed grouse in the apples from my recent trip to MI.

This is the last of what I could salvage from the footage I took on my MI trip last month. Hopefully the leaves will be down when I go up later this month and I'll catch some better stuff. Despite the lack of video it was an unforgettable trip.

Not bird hunting but I thought some you guys would enjoy this. I help my FIL run jugs on Grand Lake of the Cherokees each fall to stock him up on filets. Good video of this type of fishing is hard to get but this clip is pretty decent. Watch the line pull back through Matt's hands on the retrieve! Enjoy!

I know it's not bird hunting but since I'm headed back to Michigan for round 2 this week I'll undoubtedly have some dogs/birds/guns videos to upload when I get home.

Here's a clip from my most recent trip to Michigan. Ruffed grouse are difficult to find, harder to shoot and even harder yet to capture on film.

Thanks! Grouse is noticeably milder than pheasant but a bit stronger than quail. We usually cut the breasts into 1 inch chunks and fry them in a skillet with a light batter. Grouse poppers.

I get to shoot at an Oklahoma quail tomorrow morning for the first time this fall. I'll repost this video for the board's enjoyment. Maybe I'll get some similar videos tomorrow.
