Got drawn for a any deer tag up in South Dakota. After months of planning we finally made it up there this week and met with a good buddy who lives near Rapid City.

Seen tons of deer every day just had to find them on the right piece of public to make a stalk. On the second evening we find a group of 16 (2 bucks, 14 does). We made our move and got with in 250 yards. Wind was blowing 35 in our face and I shot in the bigger of the 2 bucks. We hunted hard walking over 25 miles in 2.5 days. The pain and cold weather was worth the memories made with good friends!

I couldn’t be happier with him as my first mule deer. Big bodied mature 3x3!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Congrats! You always appreciate them more when the terrain and hunting makes you work for it.
