The deer was shot with a 6.5 manbun with a 143 Eldx bullet. I had hunted this deer last year, but ended up connecting with a different buck. This deer was very illusive once he shed velvet, and wasn’t showing up much and so I stayed to have doubts as to whether or not I would kill him. I hunted a few other spots not seeing much, and the following morning I decided to go cross my fingers and sit where this buck was coming and ended up tagging him. The deer ran about 30 yards and crashed. Shot placement was right behind shoulder. Everything worked out perfectly, and I got me a really good buck.
