Went to Waco today for this and that. Didn’t see one mullet, but plenty of guys had a Man Bun. Is this the new normal in this part of the world? If so, I don’t much like it.
Was in southern Arkansas recently, to visit the wife’s family. Never saw a man bun, but all of her nephews had a mullet. They are back in the woods, like a bunch of hillbillies.
I wonder how things would have gone if I showed up at MCRD San Diego in a man bun. I shudder to think…

I'm 73, what is a man bun or mullet? Ask the wife, no help. I'm just not up to speed.

This reads like a bunch of teenage girls talking about hair. From postings, most here appear on the surface to be non-conformists. But it's fascinating to read these threads and see the ever lasting duality of mankind. If you look deeply into these thoughts you will find such judgements are really self validation: am I better or worse than this person, stronger or weaker, smarter or dumber, part of the herd or not part of the herd?
The person with the man bun or whatever hair style is likely looking at you with self validation in mind as well. These are mostly primeval, unconscious thoughts, but manifest themselves in ways like this thread for example. "Is this the new normal in this part of the world? If so, I don’t much like it." is really an internal threat derived from fear, uncertainty and doubt that you may be weaker, no longer fit into the herd, and have a much greater risk of death as a social outcast.
Nothing wrong with these feelings. They are very much hard wired into us as social animals where once upon a time our early ancestor's lives depended on such thinking.
I get a #2 all the way around every couple of weeks.

Went into the Olde Ice House Monday. I couldn't help, but notice the big ugly girl at the end of the bar. Something really nice had happened and I was going to celebrate and let everybody there celebrate with me. I looked around and most in there (twenty or so) were people I knew. It was happy hour and I bought the house a round. The drink slinger, Marygirl, repeated, everyone? and I looked around again. Said to include the guy and girl down at the end of the bar. Later was caught off guard when the ugly girl at the end of the bar went into the men's restroom. It was actually a dude with long hair and a man bun.
I then asked Marygirl to just keep the tab open for everyone. Yep, I was high rolling it. When finished and ready for home, got me the tab and asked if this was all of it. Replying yes, she indicated that after the 1st round she never charged me anything for the couple which included the "ugly girl".
Btw, my Flowbee works just fine and I am nailing my hair dresser.

I’ll be heading back to Arkansas soon, for another family gathering. I’ll be surrounded by mullet-heads. But, I will be on the lookout for man bun wearers in Arkansas.
I’ll be driving from Groesbeck to Mena, Arkansas. Then down through Hot Springs to El Dorado. I will closely observe the indigenous population.
