Well I had my first blah Whataburger from my favorite location close to the house Coit & Campbell Richardson, hope it was an anomaly and not the new norm.

Since that Chicago investment group bought them I wonder what changes they have made?

^^^^^They are probably managing margins. Cutting food costs is one step. This is what Brinker does. They go in, buy a good concept then try to squeeze more profit out and wind up sorry arse food. Rockfish is a prime example. It was a really good place to eat until Brinker acquired it. Same with On the Border. It was much better before the Brinker acquisition.

Same with the one in Anna. Well, once you can actually get your food. They have the slowest service of any fast food place I have ever seen. I'll never go back.

Get the app. Order it when you're on the way up there, let them know you've arrived, and they bring it to the truck. No waiting in line. Free stuff every 5 orders. No spam emails coming across all the time.

The burger was bad. Never again. Too many other options. Burger box is better and cheaper. Braums is great too.

Anna has chain restaurants? Man, I’ve been away too long.

I lived not far from there 25 years ago and ate there often. It was always good back then, too. Hopefully just a fluke

Central Lubbock WB location was out of toast for my PattyMelt yesterday. They served it on a regular bun. Supply chain sucks these days. Fries were amazingly fresh and perfectly cooked.

Whataburger here in Weatherford was out of ketchup the other day. That’s about the only reason (besides breakfast) to go to one.

The best burger I have had in a long time is the one I cook on my griddle. When I was growing up in the 60`s and 70`s there were lots of great small burger joints that served great burgers and fries, They have been replaced by the Mcdonalds of the world with prepared frozen patties that basically have little flavor. I`ll put my home made burger with my personally ground hamburger meat against any of them any day.

You have a good eye for cheese. It is absolutely Muenster cheese for the win. Love that stuff. I spray pam spray on both sides of the bun and toast in the oven. That is way better than a plain bun.

Plenty of juice my friend. A griddle gives it a great crust which is flavor you can’t get any other way. troll

I do mine in a skillet, and its the same effect. Good char on the outside, plenty juicy on the inside.

Starbucks, Chik-fil-A, McDonald's, KFC, Taco Bell, Chicken Express...

Anna has grown at an alarming rate. You probably don't want to go back.
