So I ordered one of these a few days ago, got it tonight, so far out of the box I’m impressed knobs are excellent, firm, audible click, markings are bright focus down to 25 yards with ease, also the knob turns smooth. The power ring is firm but smooth. It’s weighty and has a solid well built feel. Glass looks decent, was playing around with it in the dark..
I’ll run it through some paces over the next couple weeks and report back, but as of now I don’t see how one could get a better scope for $450 or even $700.
I’ll probably end up with one to two more so long as this thing holds up.

Dang it, I should have waited. I ordered an Athalon yesterday. Don't worry everyone, It's 2nd FP and MOA. and has a "regular" reticle, no Christmas tree. Got a great deal on it. Havent bought a relatively "inexpensive" scope in a long time. Hope I'm not dissapointed.
I hear only GREAT things about the Arken. Glass is Japanese and they make some dang good glass.

So I mounted it today, I bought their rings as well which are well made, as good as say EGW or the low end vortex. I used a .012” feeler gage under the turret base to level the retical and torqued the rings. I took it out side and had it in my tripod and shot some objects from 100 yards to about 350 yards with my range finder and focused on them the eye box seems to be ok and the focus markings seem to be close. The glass is clear and I would just about say this is as good as a razor not as crisp as a night force but definitely better than a viper or pst..
Not sure when I’ll get it shot in but it’s definitely looking promising.

Tab,
Sounds good. Keep us posted. I’ve been shooting SWFA and Primary Arms in that price range for a while and love them. That Arken has a lot more features at similar or lower price points.
Buzz,
Athlon is supposed to be good for $ from what I’ve heard. One of the only companies that builds them in China with reliable and accurate tracking. I even saw Big Stick post pictures of them on 24 and he is a pretty harsh critic of optics.

I don't trust anything Chinese made for long-term reliability and 100% accurate tracking. Never will...
If I gotta go sub-$500 in optics that require elevation adjustments for varying ranges, I'm either buying something with a reticle I can use (to avoid having to turn the dials) or going with an SWFA fixed power (Japan-made).

Name one Japanese scope that uses steel/bronze for the turrets, erector etc.. only time will tell but I’ve had the swfa line of scopes and this out classes those scopes by miles. It’s truly built like a tank.

So I have been playing with this 6-24 and liked it so well Arken sent a 100 off code for a purchase over 200 so I bought a 4-16 as well.
I shot both today and ran them through their paces they both track excellent and all controls are really nice to the touch. I prefer the 4-16 over the 6-24 because the glass quality is definitely lower end, and the more power you throw to it the fuzzier things get but it’s still a very acceptable scope for the price point.. I am a snob when it comes to scopes because I do have a few nightforce products.
Over all this totally smokes the vortex diamondback tactical, the viper, the golden eagle.. on par with a pst for sure. It’s very close to a older leupold vx2 or 3 optically.
Buy with confidence they are a nice scope for the money I’ll prolly buy another 4-16

arkenopticsusa dot com It’s hard to beat, I had a issue with my 6-24 not focusing I sent a email on thanksgiving day, Black Friday I had a rerun label and as soon as my return hit their facility they sent me a NIB replacement. And with the issue I had right off the bat I can tell this one isn’t going to have any issues. Customer service is excellent. I may buy a 3rd one Only bad is they are meaty hefty scopes so not something that you wanna carry all day on top of your 13 pound table cannon.
