I hear the best chicken fried steak is at Lulu's in San Antonio, chicken fried steak with queso gravy instead of white gravy. Gonna have to try it someday.

I had a CFS in El Paso with pepper jack cheese and green chile sauce on it. Wasn't quite queso, but it wasn't bad.

Interesting? I would have to know someone I trust highly recommend it or try a bite first before I gambled my whole meal on it.

My Sis and her husband went there a few years ago, said that CFS was out of this world. She never sends food pics, but she sent me pics that day LOL.

We ate some sort of fried meat with gravy and white bread at least 5 nights a week when I was growing up. I still prefer it the way Mimi fixed it. If I’m buying a meal from a restaurant I usually don’t order fried beef.

I went there for lunch years ago, it was good.

My Dad and I had breakfast there about 40 years ago. It was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Everything from scratch.

Ate a B-Day lunch loast month with both son's at Babe's in Carrollton - both were born in July ...3 years apart & in seperate states.... back in my road warrior days of being a weekend father. Babe's was noisy but had Good service & IMO better than average CFS. Jeez I almost did not recognize "downtown "Carrollton". We had lived there for 30 years before the move up to Texoma & 6 years ago down here in Dogwood City.....just mebbe it's almost time too move one last time ... but I doubt if I could pull that off....Oh well.

Haven't been to the Blessing Hotel since 1992, but it was fine food back then. True Southern cooking, and sit down family style eating. Sure met some good people back then. We used to go there for lunch every Friday, from the nuke plant.

This is from dos compadres in Midland. Chili con queso on the cfs. I personally didn’t have any, but I heard it was awesome!
