You handcuff a man’s wife and put her in the drunk tank over night for DWI. if you don’t have your chit together, her husband is going to be pissed. The arresting officer got it wrong, the husband knew she got it wrong and is pissed. I get that. If you don’t then that’s you, but it’s not political. It’s me having respect for a man standing up for his wife that the police wrongly charged with DWI. Insinuated she had a McDonald’s cup with alcohol in it. Locked her in the drunk tank. Got that plastered all over national news while the husband knew it was bull Chit and said so. Majority here did not believe him but it turns out he was spot on.
The only political part is he is running for Governor and he didn’t lose face with me over getting mad as hell that his wife got thrown in jail for being a stereotypical woman driver.

I don’t know. If I had to guess I would say scared old woman being accused of something she hadn’t done and vapor locked.

Do you think it's possible for people to dislike Abbott and what he did and at the same time dislike West for the way he handled this issue? The answer is yes, and I am one of those people. I don't care of either of them. Disagreeing with the way West handled this situation has absolutely nothing to do with supporting Abbott.

Considering where it happened

Turning it political would be pointing out that 64.9% of Dallas voted Democrat in the last presidential election. Then wondering if police in that liberal stronghold falsely besmirching a Republican candidate for Governor’s family name was coincidence. I didn’t type anything like that till I read your post. The incident was instantly a political topic the moment the police in a liberal city falsely arrested a Republican gubernatorial candidate’s wife and the liberal media plastered that all over the news. Turning it political would be pointing out that even though the police falsely accused Mrs west, a contingent of police officers on here is surprisingly still dragging West through the mud. Would be starting to get political Pointing that out that the cops from one of the few democratic strongholds in Texas are the ones that got it wrong and I still haven’t seen them own that yet. That is enough to make some wonder if the whole thing was politically motivated. That would be going political. I didn’t go there till you accused me of it though because as damning as that looks, I was not going to accuse the police of liberal voting Dallas of stooping that low, as bad as it looks. There will be plenty that do. There will also be those that wonder about how the liberals have been bowing down to other black people doing things to tear down the country and it’s history are threatened by a black man who is a Republican that’s not afraid to call them out leading Texas. There is a lot of stuff to go all political about here…

Thats a big negative on screwing the pooch. The only fault I can see, is the alleged cup with lemon aid, and vodka. Other then that they did their job.

Some times there are people who go to jail and are later found not guilty or the charges dropped......it is our system of justice in this country. I'd say had the officer allowed this lady to drive off, there would have been the injustice, the officer only had the facts at hand. Monday Morning Quarterbacking is a popular pastime in this country.

Nope. Should have been a ticket, not a night in the drunk tank. Unlike several on here I waited for the blood work to decide rather than tar and feather west before the facts came out. Low and behold the cops jailed an innocent woman. That is getting it wrong. I expected Dallas pd to own that. I’m pretty surprised how many on here would rather keep eating that turd sandwich than admit that west was the one standing in the side of right all along.

Bro, you are not being reasonable. She drove on the shoulder quite a ways without trying to correct herself. Then stopped in the middle lane of a highway. Followed by pulling onto a small shoulder when the officer told her to pull off the highway. Top that all by not following multiple instructions of the officer during the field sobriety test. That lady ain't right. The officer did the right thing.
