I agree with most of what you say here.
I do respect him for standing up for his wife, but he could have done it much, MUCH differently and still come across as the supportive husband and not an arrogant jackass as he did!

I will also say that I will support law enforcement always but I do agree that I feel that this was a mistake to arrest her. I watched the video and she wasn't all over the road as some have stated here. She was over the solid white line onto the shoulder for several seconds. I think it warranted the stop the officer made fully. I'm not a trained police officer but to me she DID NOT appear intoxicated to me. She appeared to be scared, which most people would be whether they'd had a drop to drink or not. I honestly felt the only thing that looked to me like she may have been on something was her eyes. So for me to judge whether this was a legit arrest is hard to say but as an untrained person in these matters I would say it shouldn't have happened.

I think the bottom line is she can't drive to save her azz and needed a ticket and maybe a course of full driving lessons AGAIN!

Last, I have mixed emotions about him as our governor. I will just say that I'm tired of all the political BS in our country today and just want people in office that do the right thing instead of saying the politically correct thing so that they can get the vote needed to be re-elected! Is he the man to do this I don't know. I just know I've never been an Abbott fan at all even though I voted for him because I felt he was a far better option than the next guy in line!

The bottom line is our political parties are made up today of a bunch BS artists and will continue to be until Americans wake the hell up!

Accusing officers of mistreating his Grandson and putting him in danger, demanding that the DA and the arresting officer some to his house and apologize to his wife on bended knee...that is just being an entitled a-hole.
