Only one hunt under my belt so far and my ratio was 4 shells per bird…

Opening day in MS was as bad as most of the stories here in TX. But.... I went 0 for 5 with my .410 which was humbling to say the least. Out of 3 hunters only 1 bird was killed. I don't think we saw more than 10 birds all day.

Depends on if I’m hunting by myself or with people hanging out. By myself I can limit out with 2 - 2 1/2 boxes being really selective and focused. If I’m with people bsing and having fun I’ll shoot a whole lot more and take ridiculous shots, especially if birds are slim. It has resulted in some dead birds that were complete luck but looked really impressive. It’s all about having a good time for me.

12 birds with 23 rounds on my first hunt. Went south after that.
