I fall into that category where I don't like the situation and I guess Abbott is a fall guy because I perceive him to be somewhat lethargic and moderate in an age of extremes...it's not that he hasn't tried, but we need more mouth and muscle applied against the dark forces in our midst - more than he seems to be mustering...

I don’t know yet but West said politics be damned and stood up for his wife. I don’t know if he was right or wrong but I like his priorities. Time will tell but after reading Mrs West’s side of what happened, if that is how it went down, I would have been pissed too. I’m not jumping to any conclusions either way just yet. I am a little surprised the video has not been made public yet. The only certainty to this point is the Democrats and liberal media will politicize whatever happened. Either way they have a target. West or the police.

I can't sight judgement until all the evidence is out on the table. But I think West overreacted very quickly to the situation. Also him calling for an apology to his wife shows entitlement and should have never happened. The officer that made the arrest is not a beat cop, she's a traffic cop. That being said her job is to write tickets, deal with accidents, and respond to DUI calls to perform tests. The tests are mandated by the state, not by the city or county. Traffic officers are trained to do the testing and to look for "tells", she must've seen something.

Mr. West admittedly can not attest to the actual drinks Mrs. West consumed being as he was in Waco with Ted. To me he can only speak on what is "hear say".

He may may be one hell of a leader but real leaders done jump to conclusion without having all the facts.

When someone goes after a police officer the rest them come running. That is on display by the posts in this thread. I respect that. When someone goes after a mans wife he comes running. I respect that. Im not a policeman nor have my wife or I ever been in any trouble with the law. I can’t speak with any experience from that side of this discussion. I’m not gonna talk out of my arse. I am however married and have checked more than one a-hole for crossing the line there so that is the side of this discussion I can comment on with first hand knowledge. I also believe the best defense is a strong offense. If you are gonna go at someone, I believe in coming at them with everything you got. I don’t fault West for that any more than I fault the officer for coming at his wife with breathalyzer, blood test, and hand cuffs. West didn’t initiate the hostilities, but he is obviously not afraid to answer them either. In the end only one side will be in the right. At this point it remains to be seen which one.
