The data is showing that over time the original vaccination loses some of it protection against infection but still is very effective in preventing severe illness.

I'll be getting the booster when it's available.

The first go around with COVID I was not really concerned. This delta variant is no joke guys and the people who are getting extremely sick are unvaccinated.

It's really odd to me. The anti-vax guys can be just as bad. Close friends of mine basically berating me for it.

Especially now that we know for the most part the vaccine protects only from severe illness and not completely from infection or transmission.

Wife and I will probably get the booster. While not 100% effective it reduces the risk.

I get the distrust of this government pushing vaccinations but we were all rooting for the it when Trump was working on Operation Warp Speed.

“It appears that natural immunity is better against the Delta variant. When you get infected with COVID, your body’s immune system develops antibodies to the entire surface of the virus,” Makary said. “Not just the slight protein that the vaccines gives you, but the entire surface. And so you get a more diverse antibody portfolio in your system.”

Makary said data from Israel revealed that natural immunity appears to be 6.7x more effective than being vaccinated when it comes to fighting off COVID-19.

“One of the great failures of our medical leadership has been ignoring the half of America with natural immunity, which is the half of non-vaccinated folks.”

Uhhh, does that include the "vaccinated" people who are dying from it? That statement is right in line with the lies we're being fed by the CDC, WHO, etc.

If i get the vaccine, then get covid, and am able to fight it off quickly because of the vaccine, am I 10x more protected than everybody else? With the booster maybe 12x more protected? I'd give my results but I just can't seem to catch it no matter how many times I was exposed before and after the vaccine. Last time I was sick was back in 2005, I guess while in South East Asia, Lasted 2 days after some home remedies and tamiflu.

Also I wonder if we would of just let the virus run its course naturally, with out prolonging it, would we have the different variants? Or would it have burned itself out? I fear we have just mucked things up.

Yesterday, I was having a casual conversation with a friend I haven’t seen in many years. The topic of vaccine comes up. He tells me that many years ago he and his wife were adopting a child from China and had to get several vaccines. They didn’t really question what was in it.

Long story short, both he and his wife have lupus an autoimmune disease. They both swear it’s from those vaccines.

My Doctor told my wife and I that since we were both fully vacinated and then had a break through case of Covid and survived that, then we are now some of the safest folks in the US.
