I have never bought a 50# bag from Brookshires. I don't know if that is what you would pay at the grocery stores but that is the price at the distribution center. I was also told that in three weeks it will go down to $349.99/ton- $7.00/bag. And to buy it at the distribution center, at least in Lufkin, you have to pay cash. You have to buy it by the pallet- 50- 40# bags.

I don't have a dog in this fight but it's interesting to have yet another item to gauge the changing rate of inflation.

I didn't know you could buy from the distribution until a couple of years ago. I go over there with my trailer, go into the office and pay, then pull around to the docks and they load it on my trailer with a forklift.

I also bought some from Brookshires in Hallsville on Tuesday the 20th and it was $8.99 for the 50# bags. It is Gods Country Harvest corn and was cleaner than what I bought from a feed store last month. This is the link to them "Not a secure site" shows in the address bar. Corn Link

They may have changed their bag size but I know in the past they were always 40# bags, which I prefer...starting to get a little too old to lift 50# bags over my head to fill a feeder.

Bought from Buc-ees in Terrell Saturday; almost $10 per bag. Biggest disappointment was finding chunks of Mold in 3 of the bags.

We paid $3.50 a bushel (56lbs) for bulk a couple of years ago, so if they got a decent deal $6 wouldn't be out of the realm.

Anybody cutting yet? Is there a 2021 street price for bulk?

$11 per 50# at the Cisco feed store on 7/31. Ouch. At least it was clean. $15 for 16% protein.

yes sir, usually hovered about $6.20 a bag for 50 pounds.. In 2020 and last year it went up to 6.49 .. I called them last week just to check and they didn't have any yet.. but i assume it will be higher this year like everything else.
i have a receipt laying around somewhere...
