My daughter gave me one of those little vacuums that rolls around on the floors cleaning several rooms.. It got hung up under a recliner in my sunroom. I rescued it and put it back in the charger. I later turned it on and it did its thing. She emailed me today and asked what happened. I explained and went on to ask her what happens to the sweepings. I am still waiting on a reply. What in my whole wide world? confused2

I've heard some horror stories about automated vacuums and dog/cat turds.

Bill, ask you daughter to send you one of those new AutoMowers from Husqvarna, that way you won't have to get sweaty and you won't have to Call the Man to mow your yard...

I’ve thought the dust containers on those were small.

I'll admit with two dogs and two cats in the house, the robot vacuum was a life changer.
We still run the big vac, but only about once a month, to do the baseboards and stuff. Running every other day, the Roomba keeps the pet hair, sand, and dust bunnies at bay. We've got into a routine here. Feed the dogs breakfast, empty the dust bin.

It took about a week to figure out where it would get hung or lost, and fix those issues. Not it gets stuck maybe once every other week, and almost always because I got out of the recliner without closing it.

About the only negative thing about Covid is we used to be gone most of the time when it runs.

We all need to practice Whoa more.

We had one of those robot vacuums. The stupid thing got all pissy because it needed a charge and was pushing its charging base across the house.

It also go stuck in a hall way when it needed charging, I swear the only thing it knew to do was ram itself into the wall while beeping. Looked like a child throwing a fit

I never liked ours and ended up giving it to my daughter. I got tired of it getting stuck taking forever for a room.

Our roomba ran over dog diarrhea once and it was not good at all. We have a dyson now and it works fine.

Ours randomly gets stuck under the bed...the bed with only a pelican hard case under it...nothing else. Guess it gets confused in the dark?

I will say though - my wife is super duper OCD about clean floors and cleaning in general...before the U-fy or Eufy - whatever the hell it's called - one of us had to vacuum daily...with it - we're down to once a week. So that's nice at least. She runs its 2x a day. Once when we go to bed (which I hate because it slams into the bedroom door and makes you think someone is trying to get it in) and in the mornings when she leaves for work.
