Saw one of those critters on a deer lease south of San Angelo. Had no idea what it was at the time. Mean looking little critters!

I was underneath a trailer running wire one day and I just happen to look to my left and a big tarantula a foot wide and 8 inches tall with 2 inch fangs was about a foot from my face and in it defensive mode with the front legs up and growling at me. I must have hit my head 5 times trying to get out from under that trailer.
I would have peeled my sidearm and unloaded the fng clip! 
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

We don’t get a lot of calls for these, but when we do, the people calling are freaking out to no end. You’d think they had a rabid velociraptor in their house, especially those who are new to the area and aren’t familiar with all of our little critters.
