You wish. Most definitely...not.

Just checked on mine:

Went back to Rudolf de Gant, born 1022 in Scotland

Our family name changed a few times.

de Gant

Lindsey

Jesse Lindsey(Bush) In mid 1800's he was adopted (raised) at the age of 4 by the Bush family in eastern Tennessee
Last name since then...Bush, the bean people.

But keep in mind it may not be accurate.

Would be cool if you could trace back to a king.

I trace back to several kings on one line. This would be O'Rileys or versions of the time. 15th, 16th, 17th etc. great grandfathers. Kingdom of East Breifne (part of Ireland). Of course going back that far, there are now millions of descendants who share the same grandfathers. I remember reading about one of those Kings who after a great battle gave his surname to all his warriors. I bet that created some confusion for like forever. O'Riley and forms of it are one of the most common names in Ireland today.

I have done extensive genealogy research and have come to this conclusion;
Someone at every family reunion will think they are descendants of Pocahontas
Several will believe they are descendants of royalty.
Many think that grandma was a 100% Crow Indian, even though her name was Lucy O'Reilly the daughter of Brenda Kelly and Patrick O'Reilly.

Actual documented proof of ancestry is quite difficult before the mid 1800's. So many trust family trees on ancestry.com and copy them, then claim they "traced their ancestry."

My FIL used to talk of his ancestors. One was a Napoleon General, one a full blooded indian from an Oklahoma reservation, one a gambler who died in a gun fight. Sounds exciting but my Daughter got into Genealogy found no evidence of this.

I did....the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That is all that matters to me.

The surname confusion happened a lot in Texas. The Natives here were given many Spanish surnames by the people who were granted land. This kept them from being killed as well. Lose your identity or die.

These are the closest matches to my ancestral origin Indigenous people search results for my DNA test
A: Algonquian
B: Apache in White Mountain Apache Reservation, United States
C: Navajos in Navajo Indian Reservation, United States
D: Apache in San Carlos Indian Reservation

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

What is most important is the legacy you are leaving right now.
