I doubt that Bill and as far as I can tell, no one is mad about anything. Just people sharing their opinions.

We have had ours for over 15 years and love it. Decide to get a new one for the head foot raising ability. Several of our friends have them and all love them.

I messed around with all kinds of beds and finally settled on a Lucid 12 firmness with adjustable base. I’ll sleep 2-3 hours on my stomach and get on my back and prop my feet up for a few hours. At least in my opinion I get a lot more
Comfort out of the adjustable base rather than the mattress once you find the firmness you like

No on the Sleep number but the cordless adjustable base is the bomb. We have them in 2 bedrooms.

Best mattress I ever slept on was on the Oceania Riviera cruise ship. $3000 plus $500 for shipping from Italy. So, we didn’t get one. We got a Stearns and Foster and it was pretty good, but expensive. It dented badly, so we got a much less expensive one and like it even better, and no dents. But, the most comfortable mattresses are in the guest room. Inexpensive foam type that we bought on the internet, with a soft mattress pad on top.

We have to get mattresses with independent springs. The wife, during the night, often sort of rolls over violently. I call it her helicopter move. Wakes me up every time.

My wife blames our current mattress for every ache or pain she ever has. I've told her that we aren't getting any younger and those aches and pains are just going to happen but she doesn't want to hear that. I'd rather buy another mattress than argue about it. wife

check perfect comfort beds, they are a better option than sleep number. Sleep number sued them and lost. They are much better built, we love ours.

I’d go this route as well.

We have the high end sleep number. My wife likes it softer and I’m in the middle. Funny thing is you’d only adjust it in the middle third of the range since any more or less would be at either extreme. And you rarely change it - I might do it if I’m experiencing a sore back or something and want to try a different setting but for the most part it’s very consistent.

It’s an investment for sure so make sure you understand what any return might entail.

We love ours, my number is 70 and the wife likes her side at 65. We have a king size now, we put our queen in the guest bedroom and when our kids come in they love sleeping on it. As for the pillow slipping between the head board and mattress, we have a couple of decorative pillows we put at the foot of the bed that prevents this from happening. Remove the pillows to change the sheets, put them back when we are done. The Sleep Number bed got rid of most of my back problems.

Perfect comfort or personal comfort? I see both when I google it.

Love our Sleep Number as it saved the “bliss” in our bedtime. We were headed toward separate beds as she needs/likes/wants basically a hammock and I need my side firm for my back.
We have a cooling gel topper on ours and sleep great and have been for about 5 years. Prior bed was a Tempur-pedic that was horribly hot.

We've had ours going on 8-9 years now and will never sleep on anything but a sleep number!!! The only draw back to me is the split top where each side can be raised or lowered. It tends to push apart and can leave a WIDE gap. I like being able to have my side slightly raised, just wish it stayed together better.
