I really like these Sierras. Very accurate in my rifle and very destructive in the piggies.

Tried both of these initially. It grouped the PPU’s better, very well actually

Well my Ar likes the 75 grain BTHP and so that is the bullet used. I got myself a Grendel upper because I had more than a few hogs get far enough away to be impossible to find after dark with body hits from my 5.56. However with CNS hits the 5.56 works as well as bigger rounds. Still the 5.56 is in not in the same league as the Grendel. This said whatever gun I have handy will get trigger time if a hog gives me a shot. Especially in the summer time.

62grn Barnes TTSX! IMO One of the best if not the best for hunting reasonable ranges with a 5.56/223

Reload myself.

22grn Nosler BT
23.5 IMR 4895
CCI SR primers
.223 Rem brass. only used once shot.

Rifle, Rem SPS 223 24" barrel, 1/2" groups at 100yds all day long.
with custom trigger. neck or head shot, no worries. Works for me,
putting venison in freezer last 8yrs with this load. Happy camper.

Ive killed them with a number of bullets out of the .223 I make it a point to shoot them in the brain to avoid tracking chores in thick cover.
Heres a few Ive used...55gr Barnes TTSX,63 gr. Sierra SMP,60 gr NBT,55 gr Gold Dot, 62 gr. Barnes TTSX,50 bgr. Hornady sp, 55 gr Hornady SP w/c

For what its worth, with the brain shot the 55 gr Hornady SP works just fine, is cheap, accurate, and easy to find ( even nowadays)

Heres one that caught a 55 gr. Hornady...note bullet placement...
