I don't know if they do either. I didn't mean for that to sound like they were loading 300 HAM'R. The Underwood load I was referencing is a blackout round. I was curious if that 115gr Lehigh CC could be loaded in a 300 HAM'R case. I didn't realize they already have a bullet specifically designed for it. Sorry for any misinformation by me.

This is my first post. I have a 16" Ranger bbI in 300 HAM'R on order. I have 200 rounds of Hornady 150 grain PSP Interlock bullets. Are these bullets similar to the SST as far as loading data and terminal performance? I know the SST has a polymer tip etc.

It's been awhile since I messed with this bullet, but for some reason it didn't work well. Also it's designed for pretty high velocity and may not expand properly at the velocity we can achieve.

The good news is we recently finished up a run of 1-15 twist bbls and are 3/4 of the way done with a run of 1-13 barrels, so your order should ship soon

Thanks, Bill. I look forward to shooting some 300 HAM'R. I am planning to pull the trigger on an ammo order very soon before your sell out. I am torn between the 130 HHC load and the 135 Ham"r Bonded. I will probably start with a case of one or the other, but not both. I live in GA and plan to shoot Deer and Hogs mostly. I am biased toward pointed bullets, but not if they don't expand. Thanks.

For deer I'd go with the 130HHC, it's one of the best all around bullets. We currently have more of this load in stock too. The Hornady 135FTX load is the best deer load, but we haven't been able to get any FTX or SST bullets from Hornady in a LONG time, every month they push out the delivery time by another month. Bullets has been our limiting factor on ammo, other than Lehigh we have not been able to consistently obtain bullets. The Lehigh 110gr CC is the one load that we'll always have in stock.

Once you finish 300hamr barrels, what caliper barrel will you start? Im waiting on your 16" 308/7.62 recon tactical fluted barrel.

Well that was super fast. I ordered an 11.3 bbl last week as a backorder and it shipped yesterday. I'll have it next week. Excited to get on the range and sighted in.

I have a 30 cal suppressor. I ordered a 16" Ranger 300 HAM'R bbl and a low profile gas block. Will these three components work well together or is an adjustable gas block required?

I just got the 300 HAM'R WC Tactical Hunter and will be running a SilencerCo 36M on mine. I know the factory gas blocks that come on the completed rifles are adjustable; just need a 2MM hex drive to adjust it.

I would like to know what WC recommends as far as gas block position for suppression as the Owner's Manual just recommends positions 5-7 for unsuppressed.

I have a factory assembled 18" Tactical Hunter and a 11.3" pistol that I built. Both run my Recce 7 suppressor flawlessly with a WC fixed gas block.

It will probably be a little over gassed, but nothing like a 5.56 carbine length gas gun would be. I've never seen a malfunction from a 300 HAM'R due to over gas.

If you have an adj block that's set to run unsuppressed, shooting with the suppressor attached just keep adjusting it in until you get a failure to go to bolt stop shooting one shot at a time with a loose hold on the gun, then click it back out 2 clicks.

Pretty much any HAM'R lead kills a standing hog and a couple of these kill running hogs as dead as a couple $0.44 FTX.

So are most of you shooting the 13 twist or 15? I have the 13 twist in the 18 inch tactical hunter. I Purchased the 130 grain hot core, 135 grain bonded,and 150 grain bonded. 130s, and 135s were a little over an inch to inch and a half. 150 grain we’re in the .6’s and some change to as low as .5,s and some change. Of Course I’m very happy with the 150s,I have a standing order in for others to try. Would you think with the 13 twist that I’m married to the 150s? I probably shot 40 rounds today. You definitely know when you shoot the 150s,as your shoulder will tell you. If that’s the case it is what it is. I am hoping the SST will shoot as good, also the 150 grain SoftPoint? I think. Anyway I would really like to hear from y’all especially the ones shooting the 13 twist and the bullets that it likes. l just don’t see or hear of anybody shooting anything other than the 15. Anyway this is a great forum and I’ve really gotten some great info from here

There is so little difference between the two we are phasing out the 1-15 twist. We have approx 500 1-15 twist barrels in the final stages of production now and these will probably be the last ones. As a history note: We did most of the initial cartridge development with the Sierra 125gr PH and a 1-15 twist shot this bullet the best, initially we weren't even thinking about 150gr since we couldn't get over 2200fps with A1680. Once we discovered CFEBLK it opened up the option of 150gr. The last two guns the team built for me have 1-13 bbls and they both shoot everything well.

Don't plan on seeing any 150gr SST ammo anytime soon, every month when I check Hornady moves our delivery date out another month or two. We were originally promised delivery in April, now it's out to Dec and I don't even believe that. Hornady has been terrible to deal with during this panic. The only .30cal bullet we've been able to get from them is the 125gr FMJ. We haven't received any .30cal bullets from Barnes or Sierra this year.

Speer has been good to us so far, but they are a couple of months out now too for bulk bullets to load ammo. We are supposed to receive some 100ct boxes of 130gr HHC soon though. Our only reliable bullet source through this has been Lehigh.
