These might as well be the last Hornady 30303's on the planet.. The seller had 27 boxes when he first started posting them a few months ago, down to 5 boxes (500).
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/901573829

Also Grafs has some of the 130gr Barnes TTSX limit 2 boxes 100 bullets, about 97¢ ea. Shipped.
https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/27604

Bill, that is an awesome Nilgai buck! I hope to be able to secure some 308BLKGDB's by this fall.

FYI

We received an email notification from Hodgdon Powder last Friday that they are SOLD OUT for 2021 and will not be accepting any new POs until 2022. So if you find CFEBLK available anywhere you might want to seriously consider picking some up.

With Hodgdon now controlling Accurate, Hodgdon, IMR, Ramshot and Winchester brands this is obviously a problem for smaller OEM customers like us......

Opened a new box of 150gr SST ammo and loaded up the rifle for the weekend trip to our place. This nasty boar showed up just after dark. He dropped in place.

I shoot a 18” Tactical Hunter. I bought an upper when Wilson had a special offer here.

We have a few 18" Tactical Hunter round threaded barrels with 1-15 twist in stock, these will be the last 1-15 twist barrels until this buying panic is over.

This has become my go to rifle to hunt hogs. I really like hunting with the 150gr bullets and this works perfect for me.

Took this small sow around midnight. 150gr SST dropped her in her tracks.

It’s hard to patiently wait for my back ordered barrel...have everything else to load for this round. I hope it is a better hunting round as I’m moving to it from 6.5 Grendel.

I feel ya! I have a complete rifle on order and it’s killing me. Already bought 400 loaded rounds and enough components to load 700 more.

Planning to take my new HAM'R to the range soon. Should I do a barrel break in before doing load development for an accurate charge? I have a few hundred cases ready to load with three different bullets. I didn't want an assumed good load at round 50 to change a year from now at round 500.

I haven't seen any noticeable differences in the hammer over time other than a very slight velocity increase after the barrel "wore in". I would just shoot a few and do your load workup.

I agree with SDT, you shouldn't seen any change during the useful life of the bbl, well over 10k rounds

This is what I do with a new gun. Shoot 20rds, clean the bbl, then clean the bbl every 200rds or so thereafter. Exception would be if I switch from a common cup and core bullet to a solid copper or vice versa. I like to clean the bbl anytime I switch bullet material.

Mr. Wilson and or any other fella's on here ever try the Hornady 30191 110gr GMX
bullets?

Great reviews for 300blk and other .30cal loads.
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1016935491?pid=355457#

I found a place that's had a lot in stock for a long while.. I finally gave them a call today and got the price..
$30.43/Box of 50. It should work out to $349.73 for 550 shipped or 63.5¢ ea.
Spendy, but then again so are all copper bullets, no one else has had them in stock in what seems like forever, and not only that.. This is pretty much the cheapest price when compared to those that have had them in stock. https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/090255301915

Should easily be able to get them up to 2,500fps (16.2") safely, dropping just under 1,000 ft lbs.@ 200yd, still going almost 2,000fps
Well anyways, just seeing if anyone's tried them or would like to try them I'll "Give up" my source smile

The ogive is completely wrong for the HAM'R OAL, the only way you can use this bullet is to buzz the polymer tip off. Very few of the bullets specifically designed for the Blackout will work well in the HAM'R because the nose is so long on them.

This little fella is only 19.5" end to end including muzzle device and sends a 110gr Hornady SP out at a little over 2350fps.

Awesome performance for such a compact and lightweight package and it doesn't limit your magazine capacity as some of the other larger AR cartridges do.

Thanks Bill - this is a very underrated cartridge in my opinion!

SD, I got distracted when my Barrett MRAD finally showed up so I never got back around to telling thanks for costing me more money. I now have the deadfoot on my 8", suppressed Home Defense HAM'r SBR and the tailhook version on another 8" HAM'R. Nixed that SD Brace. Both run like a top with the standard spring.

This may be a little off topic but I just stumbled in to this 64 page thread for the first time and after doing some reading (not all) I am convinced I need a HAM'R.

Ordering directly from Wilson I think most delivery dates are 2022. There are pistols and rifles on Gunbroker for ship today. They have the 8" pistols and the 16.25" & 18" rifles. The prices are higher due to demand but it is ok as I am selling a couple other guns to fund the purchase.

So the question is with all this pistol brace ban talk should I buy a pistol now or just opt for the rifle? I would prefer the pistol as longer barrels sure make guns with cans so clumsy. If they ban the pistol braces what am I stuck with if I buy the pistol a receiver with a hot dog sticking out the back of it?

Primary use would be a truck gun at the ranch for busting hogs. It is pretty brushy at our place there are not many opportunities to even see past a couple hundred yards.

Whatever I get I am sold on the Wilson though I just bought a EDC X9 last week and it is the best pistol I have ever shot. Thinking I may sell my Staccato full size and get another Wilson.

I am considering the same as you, but the 16.25.

I am also considering the WCP320, but have been looking at the x9 as well..I know two different platforms, but they are a beautifully made.

Effective range on the 8-inch is 125 to 150 yards but it is super slick with a can. I have the Rugged Micro in K config. I wouldn't worry about the brace. There are so many in circulation now they would make half the country criminals. I live in the free state of AZ and the Governor already signed the law that they would not uphold hold unconstitutional federal mandates on guns.

NFA is a completely different situation...the only reason the marijane stuff is allowed in states is because the feds have said they wouldn't enforce those laws. Going to be a completely different situation for firearms I bet.

If they move braces to NFA...you'll likely have to take apart your upper/lower and apply for a Form 1 and wait...then you can put whatever stock you want on the short barrel. If you aren't willing to roll that dice or deal with NFA approvals....then you need to get the 16" rifle.

One thing to keep in mind...the anti gun crowd has control of everything except the supreme court (and some days I even question that). So right now, that is and will be the only thing standing in their way to move pistol braces to the NFA.

I have a 11.3" and 16" Hamr...the 11 is really handy and I use it 2x more than the 16.
