We bought from a farmer right on the Red River last year and it was cheaper for sure. But he used paper bags and we busted so many filling 11 feeders it wasnt worth it. Would like to talk to "your guy" though.

Find a couple of these on CL for around $150 and it’s way easier and after the first use you still save money. I think I have 7 of them and they hold roughly 2500 pounds each with a valve on the bottom for easy pouring into whatever you want to use. I normally just use 5 gallon buckets or reuse old feed or corn sacks. You can also buy corn in bulk at feed stores and save a bunch of money this way.
Only drawback is you either need a trailer to leave them on after loaded or a tractor/skidsteer to unload them. They do collapse into itself when not being used as well,, The corn guys any number of 9 friends, I buy from whoever harvests first.

Find a source for used 5 gallon buckets. Spread a tarp over the bed of your pickup, then spread the buckets out. Get your corn in bulk at the elevator. Use the buckets for filling feeders. Excess corn that missed the buckets is easily cleaned up and dumped into buckets using the tarp. Any extra corn is in rodent proof buckets.

I'm probably looking for an entire truckload. What's the price forecast?

I bought some today at $10.20

the feed store said corn is coming off grain elevator
and heading straight overseas,,, and they bought
next year's crop already.

expect prices to remain high

feed prices will be high, stay high

Next year's beef will be premium ,
along with pork and chickens
(already seen higher prices for chickens )

I normally buy 2 pallets and waste a bunch
to attract hogs

This year I am putting all of them on a low carb
diet and ketosis

I heard that bout New Braunfels today as well. Most other Bucees I have heard was 8.99 which is what i paid for two pallets this past friday in Denton.
Hud must be buying so much corn in New Barnflies that that Bucees has got better buying power. bolt
