Skipped the walk this morning. Dang left sock kept slipping down yesterday, ended up with a whopper blister above the heel. Brooks shoes are good, but the left one is a little short. Making a trip to academy this afternoon for at least some new socks. Maybe they will have a wide tennis shoe in stock.

Walked yesterday morning and this morning. Thanks goodness for some breeze and cloud cover. Can’t seem to get out earlier than 8 am. Getting consistent times of 45 minutes for the 2 miles.

Guess we’re gonna need to set the alarm clock if we want to walk in the mornings now. At 7:30 this morning is was full sun, no clouds or wind. Took a rain check.

I'm walking about 1 mile in the afternoon 11am or noon, then 2 miles around 8pm. So about 3 miles a day.

Finished with kennel duty this morning before 7. It was already too hot for me to walk. No clouds, no breeze. August is here early.

I find the treadmill boring. Also it's a little loud. I get better vibes walking outside. I like to get a little sun in my 11am walk.

They are annoying and it seems time stands still while using one.

cheers

If I'm doing half as good as you when and if I make it to your age, it will be because of all the walking I'm doing right now. If I kept up the nothing I was doing I might not see 60.

I have a question about walking, is it total steps taken in a day that I should be looking at or miles walked in one stretch? Some days I walk a 1 mile or 1.5 miles as a starter, but during garden season/mowing season, I walk from a little bit after sunup till I get enough heat or have something else to do. Today, I got 14,292 steps for 5.3 miles as of 5:30 PM. Some of this was behind a push mower, others were up and down a step ladder close to a hundred times.

I have an Android phone that I can hardly operate because it's smarter than I am. Is there an app that will tell you how far you walked?
