Way easy, KRG has some really nice options that are fairly budget friendly.
The bravo chassis, I have 3-4 of them. I also have a whiskey 3 chassis that I like pretty well.
MPA Matrix is top of the line.

There’s only 2000 choices for the 700.

For the $, KRG Bravo would be my choice. Have one of those as well as a KRG Whiskey 3. Just got the Bravo and im custom painting it and adding weight to the rear of stock/chassis.

Plan on bedding the stock, or having it bedded.

Fireman, you bed even with chassis block? I used to but never saw an appreciable difference.

Op look at the bergara HMR stock. My favorite stock is the KRG Bravo, but I just threw together this HMR stock and R700 action in 308 and it’s shooting very well. Also it handles nicely for hunting.

TAB, thanks for mentioning the KRG Bravo. I had not heard of it. I was going to order a Boyd's At-One for a lefty R700, but I think I like the Bravo better.

Here’s 2 bravos and a whiskey 3 chassis, these are great because no bottom metal is required. Just torque your action in at 65 inch pounds and go shoot. They take the magpul mags really well. I prefer the accurate mags KRG sells, and they give a nice discount when you buy the mags with a chassis. Excellent customer service too.

My last one came in under $500 with one of the 223 accurate mags they sell which are $80 alone.

Remington actions are cylindrical, therefore any stock they are going into get bedded. Even chassis.

After watching a few YT videos and reading some online reviews, I just placed the order for a Bravo LH short action.

I found a guy selling a new, never mounted, MDT XRS (so. many. acronyms.). It is on its way to me for well under $400. I like that it looks more "normal" than some of the Space Wars chassis. I hope I like it, but if not, it will find a new home easy enough.

I had never heard of the XRS until I saw it for sale on another forum. It has pretty good reviews. We'll see.
