68rustbucket, that sure does look like the same spot that we stopped at to see them. Was it right off a highway at the edge of the badlands, with a small pullout and an awning? You couldn’t see them until you got to that spot, then they just came into view, if traveling from the opposite direction your pickup is pointing.

That’s definitely the same spot. The grass covered plateaus in the distance are the same in our pictures.

After looking at our photos closer, it definitely was the same spot. That’s pretty cool.

Never been but it's another place I need to see before i go. Absolutely. South Dakota is a beautiful place. You can just drive the roads through the countryside and be amazed at what that place has to offer.
