When will it be safe to apply pre-emergent to Bermuda that was installed in May? It seems to be doing well and has been mowed many times, just looking a little brown in places due to the heat.

I used Stonewall as recommended here and there's a picture of the label on this page above. Says no worries applying to new yet established plants. Says it's safe as soon as the soil has settle around transplants. Not sure on other products.

Grubex. $15 right now on Amazon. You won't need it until next year, but grab it at this price.

GrubEx

Too late. The GrubEx $15 deal on Amazon is gone.

After 3" of rain I had to raise my mower to the top and cut the Bermuda early so I can lower the mower to regular height and cut it again Sunday.

So is there any reason I should not put down Image and Celsius WG right now? I have a little crabgrass and some nut sedge just starting to come back. I put Stonewall down on 8-17. Last put Image without Celsius back in June or July. Haven't used Celsius since late Spring.

You can if you want. Sledgehammer is another product you can use for a little spot spraying. If you go with Image keep in mind it needs to be watered in within a few days of application. If you’re on irrigation no biggie. Decent rain chance tomorrow night with the front coming depending on location. You can roll, out some Celsius too. Personally I wouldn’t worry too much about crab this late in the year. It’s an annual and the mother plant will die with the first frost/freeze amd only return via the seeds it’s dropped. Your spring app of Stonewall will be key for next years prevention. I have a little bit of sedge popping and a little of spurge. I’m just going to spot spray them Spectricide yellow label next week when it’s in the 80”s. I believe the orange top is labeled for crab. It’s a good premixed product to have on the shelf and handy for just going out to hit a few here and there when temps are good like next week.

Walmart had Image in a nozzle bottle for a hose. It was $10 on clearance instead of $22.99. Got two. Can't figure it out but tried it anyway. I only did Image manual liquid as a spot in the spring and early summer. Didn't seem like the product was mixing as the bottle never lowered in level. Poured the contents into my manual sprayer and used it on the rent house side of the property line where the crabgrass, dandelions, sticker burrs, and other bad stuff comes from. Watered in really well what I "sprayed" from the bottle on my grass then it rained in the middle of the night. We shall see. Wish I knew the concentration in the other one so I could just dump it in my sprayer, add the right amount of water, and spot use it this spring.

Walmart is starting to have some good clearance deal. I use this Preen in flowerbeds and it needs to be watered in immediately

My store has GrubEX for $34. That's more than the regular price on the bag shown. It's only $31 on Amazon. I did get the a fore mentioned Image sprayers for $10 instead of $24 but I don't think they work properly or I'm too dumb.
